![]() ![]() It's handy that you can add fx as inserts and/or sends per engine (consisting of up to 64 pads), per pad and per layer. I mainly use it for drums although it does have a chromatic mode as well which I've used for basslines sometimes. Filters are pretty decent and there are loads of types. Timestretch amount, fx parameters and many other targets can be modulated.īuilt in fx are a bit hit and miss but are good to have and some, including weird saturation variants, are great. That's on top of the two envelopes per layer of each pad. The modulation scheme is very powerful, you can create up to 16 modulators including envs, lfos, step sequencers and some esoteric ones and control multiple parameters each, including themselves or other modulators. A simple example of a value pattern is making the velocity on every other step accented. compress or offset the values, add the depth of randomness you want or even insert whole parameter value patterns. ![]() ![]() The sequencer makes it easy to build interesting grooves as a ton of parameters can be programmed per step and you can adjust the values in interesting ways, e.g. Also lots of per-pad flexibility (up to 8 layers per pad all with their own tuning, filter, modulation, timestretch, output etc). I'm a fan, for one because it has a fast sample browser - I don't know how anyone can deal with drag and drop for sample selection, it's so slow. ![]()
